[Guide] How to Downgrade Moto G 2nd Gen from Marshmallow to Lollipop

Moto G 2nd Generation comes with Android 4.4.4 Kitkat and was updated to Lollipop a year ago . Skipping Android 5.1.1 , Motorola Recently updated Android version of Moto G 2nd Generation to Marshmallow .




If you are not liking the new Operating System  (  Marshmallow ) then you can Downgrade the OS to Lollipop , by following our below Guide .

How to Downgrade Moto G 2nd Gen from Marshmallow to Lollipop 

Requirements -



Step 1. Extract Both the Above files in the Same folder .


Step 2. Boot your Phone to Bootloader mode and Connect your Device to PC .

Step 3. Open Command Prompt on the Folder ( Press shift and Click Right mouse button and open Command Prompt ) .

Step 4. Now Paste this Command 

mfastboot.exe flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot.exe flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot.exe flash boot boot.img
mfastboot.exe flash recovery recovery.img
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
mfastboot.exe flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot.exe erase modemst1 
mfastboot.exe erase modemst2 
mfastboot.exe flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot.exe erase cache 
mfastboot.exe erase userdata
mfastboot.exe reboot


Now your Moto G 2nd Generation will boot to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop , If you are still getting problem or Your Phone doesn't Boot after following above process , Flash Marshmallow firmware again to restore it back .

How to enable hidden Google Apps in Remix Os Beta


On March 1 , 2016 Jide Finally released the beta version of Remix Os . The beta version comes with many new features which include ( 32-bit support , Dual Boot support , UEFI support ) and over 50 bug fixes .


Remix Os is a Android Based Operating system , But it did not comes with Google Play services .. Well Actually It comes with Google Play Services , but they are Disabled and Hidden . 


We don't know why Jide have disabled Google Play services on latest Remix Os Beta . But thanks to a redditor ( SubredditReddit ) for finding a way to Enable all the Google play services .

How to enable hidden Google Apps in Remix Os Beta  

Requirements -

Step 1. Boot to Remix Os Beta 

Step 2. Now On The Remix Os Home screen , Enter Root terminal by Just Pressing ( Alt + F1 ) Keys .

Step 3. Now In The terminal Type and run this -

pm disable com.jide.apppolicy

Step 4. Now to Display all the Disabled apps , Run this command -


pm list packages -d


Step 5. Now you will get a list of all the Apps disabled , to enable them type -


pm enable <package name> 


Example - To enable play store type 


pm enable com.android.vending

And enable all the Google apps by using the 5th Step .

Step 6. Now Press [ Alt + F7 ] to Enter Remix Os Home screen .
